The stillroom was part of daily life in the Elizabethan and Georgian periods, and potpourris and sachets to fragrance the home and clothing were made there. Following old stillroom 'receipts' is always a pleasure and a revelation, ingredients that are new to me combine to make the most wonderful scents, and I'm sure you'll enjoy them too.

Here you will find a collection of potpourris, sachets and sweet bags based on recipes of long ago, not only will they perfume your home and bring a sense of peace and tranquility, they're also the perfect bridge to bygone centuries, and the chance to dream of other times. Nothing here contains artifical preservatives or synthetic scents, only flowers, herbs and spices.
