Edwardian Porcelain Toothbrush Holder
If only all utilitarian objects were this pretty! If you didn't want to use it as a toothbrush holder it would make a lovely vase for a spring posy, or small bunch of roses. That said it would elevate any vintage styled bathroom, and is even roomy enough to hold an electric toothbrush or two.
Made of white porcelain with a gilded rim and freckled with rosebuds, it stands 14cm high, its opening is 5cm in diameter, and it is 9.5cm in diameter at its widest part. I'm unsure of the maker, but there are makers marks on its base that I've shown for anyone interested. There are no chips or cracks and the paintwork is in good order, there is some very light crazing on one small patch, which I've tried to show in picture three, but it is so light the camera found it difficult to pick up clearly.
