A sweet little plate that would have belonged to a Victorian child, a nursery plate.  White porcelain with a scalloped edge and hand painted design that reminds me of Kate Greenaway's delicate paintings.

It was produced by Copeland, a factory based in Stoke on Trent,  and made between 1855 and 1867, the factory mark is shown in the third picture and was used during those dates. There are some paint marks on the back of the plate, along with the makers mark, and possibly the pattern mark (an upside down 4 underneath Copeland B - the B refers to the kind of clay used to make the plate).  Plus some other marks which may refer to the painter and the date it was manufactured.

It measures 21.5cm in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
