Hand embroidered onto vintage linen, the friendly robin who is always happy to spend time in our company but never more so than at this time of year. My aunt used to have a robin visitor who would sit by her fire and eat the crumbs dropped from toast making, this little chap however lives in my mum's garden, as yet he hasn't found the fireplace or the toast crumbs....
The quote is from John Clare's poem 'Helpstone', it was actually in reference to birds in general, but it does suit Bob.
The picture is framed in an old oak frame with original gold slip and glass. The frame measures 6 inches (15.5cm) x 7 7/10 inches (20cm) the picture size is 3 7/10 inches (9.5cm).
