Rose Bowl Potpourri

A wonderful, richly scented potpourri, which as its name suggests has roses at its heart. Other ingredients include lavender, cinnamon, tonka beans and allspice, whilst orris root acts as a fixative and adds to the overall perfume. Keep covered when not in use.

I first made this recipe over thirty years ago and a bowl of that first mix still retains its scent. It contains no artificial preservatives and is made by hand in small batches. Each brown paper bag contains one and a half ounces of potpourri, is sealed with a wax stamp and has a handwritten label.
